The VPL-HS50 is designed for the Home Cinema market and offers a stunning contrast ratio of 6000:1, made possible through a combination of unique Sony features. Furthermore it has Lens Shift, HDMI-input and fine adjustments to individual colours can be made, enabling viewers to obtain a picture exactly to their taste.

The Contrast Ratio of the picture is enhanced by making white brighter in light scenes and black deeper in dark scenes, creating a richer viewing experience.
Greater choice of where the Sony VPL-HS50 can be positioned. The Lens Shift function will adjust the picture position both horizontally and vertically, whilst still projecting a correctly proportioned image.

video and audio signal. When projecting an image via a HDMI device the picture quality greatly improves.
This output gives a 12 Volt current when switching the projector on, enabling it to connect and operate other equipment such as an electrical screen or light dimmers.
