The Sony VPL-CX80 offers a high brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens to display bright pictures in large rooms, even where there is a high level of ambient light. Native XGA resolution ensures clear display of detail while an extremely quiet fan, at just 28dB, ensures the projector will not distract the attention of the audience.
The VPL-CX80 is equipped with two RGB (15 pin D-sub) inputs, one monitor output (15 pin D-sub), as well as two audio inputs and one audio output. For control it has an RS-232C port. A USB connection allows users to navigate through a presentation running on a PC using the supplied remote control.
Side Shot™
No need to place the Sony VPL-CX80 directly in front of the screen – Side Shot™ will adjust the signal and display a correct image even when the projector is placed to the side of the screen.
Connections
RS-232C
Connections include an RS-232C port for management and control of the projector.
Two RGB Inputs
Two 15-pin D-sub inputs allow for flexible connection. Input-A is for RGB or Component, Input-B is for RGB only.
Monitor Out
The VPL-CX80 can display the image simultaneously on a large screen and on an additional monitor (via a 15 pin D-sub connection), so that the user can face the audience and still see the information being shown.
Direct Power On/Off
The projector can be set to skip the standby mode, so that it can be turned on or off directly using a mains switch.
Off & Go Function
The fan continues to cool the projector after the power supply is removed, enabling users to unplug the projector immediately after use, without damaging the lamp. (Other projectors need to be cooled and remain connected to the power supply after use.)
Password Protection
When this function is activated a password is required to use the projector (if the password is lost, Sony is
able to retrieve it).
