HighlightsThe Sony VPL-VW11ht employs three wide-format XGA (1366 x 768 pixels) resolution LCD panels and a 200W UHP lamp, providing a high brightness output of 1000 ANSI lumens (in 16:9 mode). An excellent 700:1 Contrast Ratio assures crisp images, with assembly of all new key components including LCD panels, optical unit and lamp optimised to prevent light leakage and make full use of the LCD panel’s dynamic range. Delivering intense, deep blacks, pure whites and rich, even colour gradation right across the projected image, the VPL-VW11HT offers remarkable image reproduction from today’s picture sources like DVD and digital set-top boxes.
For extra versatility, the VPL-VW11ht lamp drive power can be set to either “normal” (1000 ANSI lumens) or “cinema black” mode (approx. 750 ANSI lumens) according to ambient light conditions. “Cinema black”
mode offers enhanced black levels for improved enjoyment of film sources.

Newly developed Sony Digital Reality Creation – Multi Function (DRC-MF) brings out the truly cinematic beauty and fascination of any video source. When used with NTSC signal format, DRC-MF also incorporates CINE MOTION (2-3 pull down), accurately reproducing each individual frame from film originated sources and avoiding motion artefacts.

In “through” mode, video signals are not affected by scan conversion, enabling the projector to reproduce a high density, one-to-one pixel mapped picture. “Full through” mode is suitable for squeezed 16:9 sources, while “normal through” mode is ideal for 4:3 sources.
