SOLID SHINE Laser is Enhanced with the Latest DLP™ Technology
Together with the latest DLP™ module for detailed WUXGA resolution and new-generation solid-state laser diodes for high brightness, Panasonic PT-FRQ60 outstanding performance stems from a four-segment Quartet Color Harmonizer color wheel that reduces energy loss from the light source, an all-new heat-resistant phosphor wheel, and an optimized laser drive system to boost perceived brightness and improve color accuracy.
Quad Pixel Drive for Detail-rich 4K Images with High Frame Rates
Quad Pixel Drive, Panasonic’s original 2-axis pixel-quadrupling technology, rapidly shifts each pixel vertically and horizontally to produce sharp, clear, and detail-rich 4K images for a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (16:9). Combined with the DMD’s high pixel-density and narrow aperture ratio, Quad Pixel Drive creates smooth, film like images with a superior sense of depth and definition, allowing viewers to retain complex information.
Supports 4K Signal Input
The PT-FRQ60 supports uncompressed 4K video-signal input via HDMI® or DIGITAL LINK terminals. The ability to play Ultra HD video at the projector’s supported native resolution is useful in situations where the same premium video content is intended for playback on multiple 4K and non-4K projectors or displays. It saves operators the hassle of re-encoding source video and allows it to be added to a projector network that includes 4K units, streamlining simultaneous playback of a single 4K video source on all compatible display devices.
Compatible with High Frame Rate Content
Exclusive 240 Hz image processing technology supports frame rates up to 240 Hz/1080p with a minimal input-to-output latency of 8 ms or less* for fluid motion reproduction and fast response.
Image Enhancing Systems
Natural White Balance
Quartet Color Harmonizer captures a wider section of the color gamut than comparable projectors, which in turn allows white to be reproduced realistically on screen. In conventional projectors, if an ideal white balance isn't achieved, images can appear with a distracting greenish tint.
Rich Color Enhancer
Rich Color Enhancer offers a Dynamic Mode setting to increase image brightness, or Graphic Mode/Standard Mode, which adjusts color-wheel timing to produce deeper, richer colors in rooms where maximum brightness is unnecessary.
Dynamic Contrast Elevates Image Realism
Dynamic Contrast directly modulates light output to achieve high contrast with less power consumption. Digitally controlled frame-by-frame scene-linking modulation ensures precise light output adjustment for accurate contrast even when bright and dark scenes frequently interchange.
System Daylight View 3
System Daylight View 3 is the premium implementation of Panasonic’s System Daylight View technology. It supports six levels of user-selectable adjustment. To combat the effect of ambient light on the projected image and boost colour impact in projection-mapping applications, sharpness, gamma curves, colour, and brightness are all optimised to suit on-site conditions.
Detail Clarity Processor 3 Sharpens Fine Details
This unique Panasonic circuit optimizes the sharpness of each image based on the super high, high, medium, and low frequency components of the extracted image information. Resulting pictures are expressed with natural realism.
DICOM Simulation Mode
This imaging mode is similar to the DICOM Part 14 medical imaging standard. It lends a film-like resolution to X-ray images, making the projector is ideal for medical presentations and training.
Reliability at its core
Laser Module Maintains Picture Quality for Longer
Thanks to the long-lasting laser light-source module, there are no lamps to replace and image color and brightness degrade more gradually and in a linear rather than exponential fashion. As well as reducing maintenance hassle, high picture quality is maintained for longer.
Multi-Laser Drive Engine with Unique Failover Circuitry
Failover Circuitry limits brightness loss in the unlikely event of a single diode failure. Multi Laser Drive Engine features redundant laser modules that maintain image display even if a laser module fails. Failover Circuitry provides an invaluable layer of insurance in situations where image display must not be interrupted.
24/7 Continuous Operation
Supported by a high-efficiency liquid cooling system, hermetically sealed and dust-resistant optical block, and low-degradation diodes grouped into multiple modules, Panasonic SOLID SHINE Laser projectors can operate reliably 24 hours a day. These projectors are suited to continuous projection in exhibition and public display applications.
Highly Reliable Low-Maintenance Projection
A filterless heat-pipe-based cooling and hermetically sealed optical block support 20,000-hour maintenance-free projection. Optional Early Warning functions streamline management and enhance reliability in museums, classrooms, and offices.
Simple Integration
Wide-Range 2.0x Zoom and Lens Shift
The inclusion of a versatile 2x zoom and joystick-operated wide-range lens shift grants flexibility for installation in different rooms and for projection on different screen sizes. To produce a 100-inch-diagonal wide-screen image, projection distance extends from approximately 3.3 m (10.8 ft) to approximately 6.7 m (22.0 ft)
Flexible, Simple to Use, Easy to Integrate
Vertical and Horizontal Lens-Shift and 2.0x zoom enhance installation flexibility while two CEC-compatible HDMI® inputs and DIGITAL LINK integrate into 4K infrastructure. Preactivated upgrade kits for Geo Pro and Remote Preview Lite secure an effortless 4K experience.
Screen Adjustment for Specially Shaped Screens
Horizontal, vertical, and corner keystone correction adjusts the image shape for clear visibility when projecting off-axis or from an unusual angle. Curved Screen Correction allows for the projection of natural, distortion-free images onto curved or cylindrical surfaces.
Data-Cloning Function
Data-cloning function allows various settings and configuration data to be copied from a main projector to up to 99 sub projectors via LAN. This simplifies and expedites the setup process for multi-unit projection applications.
Preactivated Upgrade Kits for Geometry Manager Pro Software
Geometry Manager Pro upgrade kits usually require activation on the projector or software side with a paid license key. The PT-FRQ60 ships preactivated and ready for use with these upgrade kits at no extra cost. ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro Software Upgrade Kit adds sophisticated creative masking capabilities to an expanded set of software-based geometric adjustment functions. ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment Upgrade Kit automatically calibrates edge-blended areas of adjoining screens by adjusting their brightness, colour, and black-level via a camera, creating a uniform multi-screen image in far less time. Visit the Panasonic Geometry Manager Functions webpage for more information.
Edge Blending and Color Matching
Adjoining edges in a multi-screen system can be blended to create a smooth and seamless image. Slight variations in the color reproduction of individual projectors can be corrected in multi-screen applications.
Remote Preview Lite
Remote Preview Lite* allows the projectionist to check signal connectivity and to evaluate changes to the image when selected projector image adjustment settings are changed by previewing input video on a laptop screen. Remote Preview Lite works even when the projector is in Standby Mode and eliminates need for on-screen projection immediately before the presentation commences. It reduces chance of display issues before the performance, and if an error is detected, helps narrow down the possible cause to the input signal chain.
Single-Cable DIGITAL LINK Control and Video Connection
DIGITAL LINK supports transmission of uncompressed Full HD video, audio and control commands through a single CAT 5e or higher STP cable for distances of up to 150 m (492 ft). Add an optional DIGITAL LINK Switcher or Digital Interface Box to further simplify installation in large venues while reducing cost and improving reliability at the same time.
Art-Net DMX Compatible
Compatible with Art-Net DMX protocol for lighting management. Art-Net compatibility allows the projector to be connected to a lighting console with easy control of functions.
Features 2x HDMI® CEC-Compatible Inputs for Easy Operation
Two 4K-ready HDMI inputs support CEC commands from compatible devices, allowing the projector to turn ON/OFF with the source device. Add optional Wireless Presentation System PressIT and share content from almost any device with a single press of a button. As with other compatible streaming devices, PressIT can be powered via built-in 5 V/2 A USB-DC terminal for self-contained on-ceiling installation. Compatibility with HDCP 2.3-protected 4K/60p video promotes smooth integration into your existing 4K-ready system infrastructure.
