The widescreen NEC V281W is designed to provide higher brightness for classrooms, meeting and conference rooms that have heavy ambient light but require a small projector. This 2800-lumen lightweight mobile model is 3D Ready and includes a 7W speaker, closed captioning and NECs Virtual Remote control software.
Its VIDI technology is a Philips innovation designed to work in conjunction with the color wheel, using a brilliant pulse to increase the brightness of the image and a dark pulse to increase the contrast ratio. Enhanced connectivity, including HDMI, dual computer inputs and RJ45, are clearly color-coded and labeled on the panel.
Quick power off & Direct power off
The Quick Power Off function stops the cooling fan immediately after turning off the power to the projector, which makes it possible to remove the projector quickly. For a rapid shut down, the projector can be turned off without powering off the projector using the Direct Power Off function and a power strip equipped with a switch and breaker
Carbon meter for visualizing ecology
The projector employs the Carbon Meter indicating the reduced amount of CO2 emissions in Eco Mode. Visually confirm the numerical value indicating the reduction in CO2 emissions in comparison with Eco Mode Off operation.
Low power consumption in power-saving mode
Power consumption in power-saving mode is 0.4 W (100-130 V AC) / 0.5 W (200-240 V AC). These enhancements help to reduce the TCO (total cost of ownership).
Crestron RoomView
This support provides unified management, including the ability to switch the power on and off for multiple projectors connected to a network
Security bar and password protection functions
By using passwords, the V281w cannot be used by unauthorized persons. Furthermore, since the main unit has a security chain opening, unauthorized removal of the projector is prevented by inserting the security cable or wire commercially available into the opening
