Achieves exceptionally bright 1,800 lm with newly adopted high-output lamp
The newly adopted 265W high-output lamp in the DLA-X7900 delivers a brightness of 1,800 lumens. Combined with JVC’s original D-ILA device featuring a narrower pixel gap, this setup enables smoother, more powerful images. The result is vivid, detailed 4K video that remains impactful even in ambient light environments like living rooms.
Ultimate dynamic contrast ratio of 1,300,000:1 achieved by 130,000:1 high native contrast ratio
JVC’s D-ILA device and wire-grid optical engine work in tandem with the high-output lamp to produce a native contrast of 130,000:1. An original algorithm paired with Intelligent Lens Aperture dynamically adjusts black levels, achieving a peak contrast ratio of 1,300,000:1 for deep, cinematic visuals.
Complies with the latest HDMI/HDCP 2.2 standards to enable full spec 4K signal input
The DLA-X7900 supports full-spec 4K signals including 4K60P 4:4:4, 4K60P 4:2:2/36-bit, and 4K24P 4:4:4/36-bit via HDMI 2.0 with 18 Gbps bandwidth. It’s fully compatible with HDCP 2.2, allowing direct connection to UHD Blu-ray players and OTT streaming devices with copyright protection.
Original 4K e-shift 5 Technology continues to evolve
JVC’s e-shift5 shifts sub-frames by 0.5 pixels vertically and horizontally to simulate 4K resolution. With an optimized engine and high-output lamp, it now supports full-spec 4K60P 4:4:4 input, delivering sharper, more precise imagery.
New Multiple Pixel Control
The improved MPC engine uses a new analysis algorithm for more accurate diagonal detection between frames. This enhances both Full HD and 4K signal processing, resulting in immersive, high-definition visuals with refined edge detail.
Clear Motion Drive with High-speed LSI
JVC’s updated Clear Motion Drive now supports 4K60P 4:4:4 input, reducing ghosting and afterimages in fast-moving content. The high-speed LSI ensures smoother playback across sports, games, and action films.
New Motion Enhance
Motion Enhance technology optimally controls D-ILA panel response based on image characteristics. It reduces residual blur in fast scenes, complementing Clear Motion Drive for crisp, fluid motion reproduction.
JVC Developed Proprietary D-ILA Device
The latest D-ILA panels feature narrower pixel gaps and planarization, boosting brightness and contrast while minimizing the screen-door effect. These refinements support ultra-high 4K resolution with exceptional image fidelity.
Wide-range picture element detection
Detection range has expanded from 6×6 to 21×21 pixels, allowing the projector to capture finer image components. This leads to more natural and realistic video reproduction, especially in complex scenes.
High-performance filtering
Filtering precision has increased from 2 bands to 8 bands, enabling more accurate segmentation across a broader bandwidth. This supports highly detailed image rendering with improved tonal separation.
Pixel Analyser (analysis screen)
Pixel Analyser provides a visual breakdown of signal components via multi-band filtering and frequency-based color separation. Users can fine-tune image parameters and view adjustment zones directly using new remote control buttons.
Comparison of before/after adjustment image
With MPC and color management tools, users can toggle between pre- and post-adjustment views using the “HIDE” button on the remote. This makes it easy to evaluate calibration effectiveness and refine settings in real time.
