Sanyo has come up with a special trick to make the PLC-XTC50 easier to use and repair – the replacements parts are already inside the projector, ready to be automatically replaced when needed.
The two bulbs can either be used alternatively, bringing the joint lifespan up to a good 6,000 hours – or they can be used one after the other. This means that users have a whole 3,000 hours to buy replacement bulbs (LMP125 / 610 342 2626) after the first one dies. The filters also change themselves, and have a collective lifespan of 10,000 hours.
Now for some more technical details. The 1024 x 768 resolution is perhaps not the model’s strong point, so it is no surprise then that Sanyo are aiming this projector at professionals who need to do presentations. It has a 1,100:1 contrast ratio and 5,000 Lumen brightness. Its energy consumption is at least 375W.
Thanks to the Lens Shift function, the Sanyo PLC-XTC50 is also flexible with regards to installation. The projection angle can be adjusted 50% vertically and 15% horizontally. Setting the unit up is easy with the trapeze correction of up to 40 degrees vertically and 20 horizontally.
Automatic Filter Replacement Function
The PLC-XTC50 projector monitors the condition of the filter and replaces a filter automatically when it detects the clogging.
Shutter Function
The projector is equipped with the shutter that provides complete blackness for a while the projected image is not needed with keeping the projector on. The Shutter management function allows you to set the timer. It prevents leaving the projector on with the shutter closed for a long time.
Network-capable
Through an optional Network Manager, you can operate and control the projector.
