OUTSTANDING CONTRAST RATIO – 700:1

Through its new high-contrast optical system, the PLC-XF40 is able to achieve an outstanding contrast ratio of 700:1. A 10-bit digital gamma correction circuit is employed to effectively suppress overwhelming whites in bright images and excessive blacks in dark images.

EFFICIENT LAMP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Monitors the status of each lamp and can display the status and cumulative hours of use on-screen. When full brightness is not required, two of the lamps may be switched off. Also, if a lamp expires while either four or two lamps are in use, the failsafe operation feature switches to the matched pair of good lamps.

POWER LENS SHIFT

The power lens shift feature (Up/Down/Left/Right) allows for greater placement flexibility by raising or lowering the image without having to move the projector. Power Lens Shift also provides for easy alignment of images with virtually no geometric distortion when two projectors are twin-stacked.

HDTV COMPATIBLE

The PLC-XF40 is High Definition Television compatible, accepting the 1080i, 1035i, 720p, 575p, 575i, 480p and 480i HDTV resolution standards

DIGITAL KEYSTONE CORRECTION

SANYO’s digital keystone correction feature compensates for angled projector placement by digitally altering the pixels to produce undistorted images.
