Panasonic unveils its new 12,000 lumen three-chip DLP projector for Displaying High Definition content in large venues.

The high resolution PT-D12000E SXGA (1400 x 1050 pixels) model is designed for large venue and rental and staging solutions such as, commercial digital cinema, higher education, corporate and digital advertising customers.

The PT-D12000E includes new, built-in edge blending and a geometric adjustment feature that enables it to deliver dynamic warping capability and presentation solutions. Edge blending, used primarily for the rental and staging market, makes it possible to overlap multiple images to create a single larger image, thus enabling users to project images on oversized screens for large audiences. The Panasonic Projectors' easy to operate geometric adjustment feature makes warping images to be projected on curved surfaces possible, making these new projectors ideal solutions for museums with amphitheaters and other similar-type settings.

Highlights
  • Mechanical lens shutter
  • Picture in picture
  • Anti-theft features with chain opening
  • ID assignment for up to 64 units
  • Built-in test pattern

Superior Brightness

The PTD12000 go’s beyond full-HD expectations by setting a benchmark of 12,000 lumens of brightness. The three-chip DLP technology provides resistance to image deterioration over time to ensure reliable, high-quality operation. The D12000 is also equipped with a 3D Color Management feature that helps optimize color saturation, hue and brightness levels for approximately 1,070,000,000 colors.

Panasonic picture quality is supported by a new Detail Clarity Processor. The projector's new Detail Clarity Processor analyzes frequency characteristics of each frame and applies necessary sharpness at varying degrees to create natural, life-like images with exceptional clarity.

The System Daylight View function uses an image processing circuit to compensate for the loss of colour saturation that occurs when light reflects onto the screen from bright surroundings.

This feature is especially effective for producing crisp, sharp images in dark portions containing gradation.

Ultimate Efficiency and Flexibility

The PT D12000 projector comes equipped with the Auto Cleaning Robot, an automatic filter cleaning system that enables about 2,000 hours of use without filter maintenance.

The liquid-cooling system, directly cools the DLP chips and allows both models to be used in temperatures up to 45(degree)C (113(degree)F), enabling their use in a wider variety of environments.

The micro-cut filter traps dust particles 10 microns or larger, safeguarding the optical blocks and capturing about seven times as much dust as previous models' filters.

With Panasonic's original four-lamp system, both 12,000 lumen projectors feature a lamp replacement cycle. If one lamp burns out during operation, the lamp relay mode allows the remaining lamps to provide plenty of light to continue projecting.

The wide adjustment range for the horizontal and vertical lens shift provides flexibility for easy installations because it assures virtually distortion-free images, while the optional lenses offer different throw distances. It's through these powered zoom/focus lenses that enable the projector to perform in a variety of environments.

The PT D12000 also supports PJLink(TM) protocol can be connected to a wired LAN connection, allowing remote control, monitoring, and e-mail alert messaging functions through Web browser.

Temperature alarm and burnt-lamp LEDs are also included on the PT-D12000 projector, letting Operators know exactly where to address maintenance issues.
