The Panasonic PT-AT5000E is Panasonic’s first Full HD 3D home theatre projector with 1080p resolution. Redesigned from the ground up, it delivers superior 2D performance while incorporating unique 3D features that bring Hollywood-quality 3D into an affordable home viewing experience.

The PT-AT5000E is the first 3D projector to use transparent LCD panels driven at 480Hz, combined with Panasonic’s original Overdrive Technology to achieve significantly low crosstalk. Its newly developed optical engine produces a 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens brightness, enabling an outstanding 2D and 3D viewing experience.

The AE5000 is engineered to produce images that mirror the director’s artistic intent. Key 3D projection technologies were developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory engineers, who contribute to the creation of 3D Blu-ray discs and help set industry standards for 3D. This ensures that both 2D and 3D content maintain the quality and accuracy expected in cinematic presentations.

Full HD 3D Performance

The Panasonic PT-AT5000E delivers Full HD 3D home theatre performance with 1080p resolution. Redesigned from the ground up, it combines higher basic 2D performance with Hollywood-quality 3D features for an immersive home viewing experience. A built-in 3D IR transmitter supports optional eyewear (TY-EW3D10E, TY-EW3D2LE, TY-EW3D2ME, TY-EW3D2SE), while an optional IR transmitter (ET-TRM110) extends coverage for larger rooms. Additional 3D functionality includes 2D-3D Conversion with five effect modes, allowing standard 2D content to be projected in stunning 3D.

Transparent LCD Panels and Overdrive Technology

The PT-AT5000E uses transparent LCD panels driven at 480Hz in combination with Panasonic’s original Overdrive Technology to achieve minimal crosstalk and smooth motion. Its optical engine delivers a 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens brightness, providing crisp 2D images and vibrant, immersive 3D visuals. The projector’s 2x zoom lens and wide lens shift range (100% vertical, 26% horizontal) allow flexible placement and installation on a table, ceiling, or wall, projecting up to a 120-inch diagonal screen.

Dynamic Iris Pro

The AE5000 features Dynamic Iris Pro, an intelligent iris system that continuously analyzes image brightness and adjusts lamp power, iris, and gamma frame by frame. This produces deep blacks, a wide dynamic range, and smooth scene transitions, enhancing both 2D and 3D content.

Pure Color Filter Pro

The AE5000 includes Pure Color Filter Pro, which optimizes the light spectrum from the lamp to deliver richer blacks and more vibrant primary colors. Covering a color gamut from HDTV (Rec. 709) to digital cinema standards, the filter ensures deep, lifelike colors and enhances overall image depth.

Detail Clarity Processor 3

The AE5000 employs Detail Clarity Processor 3 to sharpen fine image details by analyzing video signal frequency in each scene. This processing reproduces super-high-frequency components, such as film grain, with natural clarity, and the effect can be adjusted in multiple levels for precise control of image sharpness.

Motion Effect and Smoothness

With Motion Effect, the AE5000 improves clarity and sharpness in fast-moving scenes while maintaining smooth, natural motion. This ensures sports, action sequences, and dynamic 3D scenes are displayed with minimal blur and maximum precision.

Waveform Monitor and Split Adjust Mode

The AE5000 offers a Waveform Monitor to visualize output levels for accurate calibration of black and white points. Using Split Adjust mode, users can freeze any scene and compare the original and adjusted image side by side, making it simple to fine-tune picture quality.

Advanced Gamma Adjustment

The AE5000 provides flexible Advanced Gamma Adjustment, allowing precise calibration of brightness (Y) and colors (R, G, B) across multiple points. Horizontal and vertical adjustments ensure smooth gradation and tonal accuracy throughout the image, accommodating a wide range of content and room conditions.

Cinema Color Management Premium

Featuring Cinema Color Management Premium, the AE5000 enables advanced color control in two modes. Point Color Correction adjusts a single color without affecting surrounding hues, while Six Color Correction allows independent tuning of red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow, ensuring highly accurate, flexible, and cinematic color reproduction.

HDMI Connectivity and Installation Flexibility

The AE5000 includes three HDMI inputs supporting x.v.Colour™ and Deep Colour, enabling multiple HD sources without a switcher. Combined with the projector’s 2x zoom lens, wide lens shift, and ceiling or wall mounting options, users can easily tailor installation for optimal viewing angles and screen sizes up to 120 inches diagonally.
