Its compact and lightweight design allows placement in both small and large rooms, supporting bigger screens than earlier LCD projectors. A joystick-controlled vertical and horizontal lens shift adds convenience, offering purely optical correction that avoids the distortion of digital keystone adjustments. Combined with a newly developed 2x optical zoom lens, the AE700 adapts easily to a wide range of room layouts and screen sizes, delivering clarity and picture fidelity in any setup.
Cinema Colour Management
Colour reproduction is enhanced with Cinema Colour Management (CCM) technology, which incorporates 10-bit digital processing and gamma correction. Unlike conventional systems, CCM allows individual control of over one billion colours without affecting others, ensuring subtle variations in hue and brightness are faithfully preserved. By enabling fine adjustments to both contrast and brightness, this innovation brings colour correction closer to the processes used in professional motion picture production, giving the AE700 a true cinematic advantage.
Dynamic Iris and Light-Interlocked Gamma
The projector introduces a Dynamic Iris optical system with AI technology, capable of adjusting light output and gamma curves in real time. This system achieves a dynamic contrast ratio of 2000:1, maintaining sharp and clear images even in well-lit rooms. By interlocking lamp control with gamma adjustment, the AE700 produces smooth scene transitions and ensures both deep blacks and bright highlights. The AI system analyses up to three billion scene combinations, providing remarkable accuracy and responsiveness for every frame.
Smooth Screen Technology
With Panasonic’s Smooth Screen technology, the “screen door effect” common to LCD projectors is significantly reduced. This makes pixel boundaries virtually invisible, creating a smooth, film-like image. The AE700 combines this with high definition sharpness, resulting in visuals that are detailed yet natural, replicating the feel of projected film.
Dynamic Sharpness Control
The addition of Dynamic Sharpness Control enhances image clarity by adjusting video signal waveforms based on differences in brightness between adjacent pixels. This intelligent processing delivers sharper edges and crisper detail while minimising the influence of noise, ensuring a clean and vibrant picture in a variety of content sources.
Lens Shift Versatility
Vertical and horizontal lens shift enhances installation flexibility, enabling precise screen alignment without physically moving the projector. Using a simple joystick operation, the lens can be repositioned internally, allowing it to be mounted on the ceiling, placed on a shelf, or positioned on a table. Because the system is optical, image integrity remains intact with no reduction in clarity.
High-Definition LCD Panel
A native 1280 x 720 pixel LCD panel lies at the heart of the projector, generating stunningly sharp images with exceptional fidelity. Its three-layer construction produces a total of 2.76 million pixels, ensuring precise detail reproduction, especially when displaying high-quality sources such as HDTV broadcasts and digital satellite content.
