The HD808 is also the first DLP-based projector to employ Pixelworks' PW9800 co-processor with DNX® MotionEngine™ technology. Using proprietary MEMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) algorithms to significantly enhance the quality of the video delivered, the PW9800 compensates for motion artifacts, often referred to as "judder," in high-resolution digital video content thus ensuring smooth playback. Combined with Optoma's PureMotion Technology for advanced image processing, and delivering a maximum brightness of 1,200 ANSI lumens, the HD808 is sure to bring out the best quality in both film and video source materials.
The HD808 also incorporates a host of features to help simplify the installation process. The projector's center lens placement, coupled with Optoma's PureShift technology, gives provides greater installation options by allowing the image to be shifted vertically and horizontally, while keeping the entire image in the optical sweet spot, thus improving uniformity for the entire image. Lastly, the projector incorporates more efficient cooling technologies keeping the unit cool and whisper quiet during operation
