Evolutionary in design and functionality

The Mitsubishi HC7000 is a high-performance home theatre projector that pairs native Full HD 1080p resolution with a finely tuned LCD optical engine, making it suitable for dedicated media rooms and serious video enthusiasts. Designed for detailed image reproduction and strong contrast performance, it combines a motorised zoom, power focus, and extensive lens shift capability to allow flexible placement and precise alignment without costly rigging or lens adjustments. The HC7000’s premium construction and video-oriented feature set make it a standout choice from its era for immersive entertainment viewing. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

The HC7000 delivers up to 1,000 ANSI lumens of brightness with a dynamic contrast ratio up to 72,000:1 (auto-iris), projecting large images from roughly 50″ to 300″ diagonally. It uses a 1.6× powered zoom lens with motorised focus and a throw ratio of approximately 1.40–2.26:1, plus generous vertical and horizontal lens shift for installation flexibility. The projector supports a wide range of video formats including 1080p/60, 1080p/24, and 720p, and includes multiple HDMI, VGA, component, composite, and RS-232 control ports. Lamp life is rated at around 2,000 hours (standard) / 5,000 hours (eco) on the 160 W UHP bulb, and fan noise can drop to about 17 dB in Eco mode. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Newly developed Diamond Black Iris with 1/60-second iris control.

With the adoption of  the Mitsubishi developed Diamond Black Iris technology, contrast control with the HC7000 has been taken to all news heights. The iris section takes on a "diamond-cut" shape that prevents light refraction for an enhanced level of contrast, meaning accurate black reproduction is achieved even during sequences on continual bright/dark scene changes. Combined with Mitsubishi's innovative contrast control, you can be assured of the deepest blacks, the brightest whites, and the most vivid colours in between.

Next-generation inorganic LCD panel for full high-definition projection

Traditionally, most LCD panels found in projectors have been manufactured with organic compounds that with enough usage will begin to break down over time, resulting in loss of picture quality and contrast. The next-generation C2 Fine™ LCD panel found in the Mitsubishi HC7000 is comprised of inorganic compounds, so even after long hours of use high picture quality is maintained with high contrast. This 1920 x 1080 dot full-HD resolution LCD panel can reproduce images of true high-definition quality.

Extra-low dispersion glass lenses for superior high definition resolution

In order to display full-HD resolution, the projector is equipped with a lens system comprised of 17 elements in 14 groups, including three ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses, which are more costly and deliver higher performance than conventional glass lenses. This lens system dramatically improves chromatic aberration and peripheral focus, giving you sharper pictures right to the edge of the screen.

New Optics Compensation panel give precise light focusing and amazing high-contrast levels

A common problem among conventional projectors is a loss of light intensity; not so here. An optical compensation panel has been newly developed and prevents light leakage, preserving the light intensity for even higher levels of contrast. This technology combined with the Diamond Black Iris, allow the projector to achieve contrast levels of up to an astounding 72,000:1

New optical engine greatly increases installation flexibility

To allow impressive big-screen images to be enjoyed even in a small room, the projector is equipped with a 1.6x power zoom and focus. The projection distance for a 100-inch (16:9) picture is just 3.1 meters. In addition, there is also a power lens shift for moving the lens vertically and horizontally, greatly increasing installation flexibility

Silicon Optix Reon VX next-generation full 10-bit video processor

Featuring the latest Reon-VX chip produced by the US company Silicon Optix, a chip widely used on high-end AV equipment and which has earned an outstanding reputation among industry professionals. Renowned for its HQVTM (Hollywood Quality Video) technology, the Reon-VX provides high-precision I/P conversion for sharper images from any video source, a high performance video scaler for superior resolution conversion, and optimised chromatic up-sampling for more faithful reproduction of high definition colour images.

Equipped with 5000-hour* long-life lamp

The optimum design for temperature control of the new colour light source lamp, as well as Mitsubishi Electric's unique lighting timing, have extended the useful life of the lamp to a maximum of 5000 hours.

Dust protection for the LCD panel

To prevent dust from adhering to the LCD panel, the LCD block is equipped with a dust protection cover

Dual HDMI v1.3 Connectors with "Deep Colour"

Allows for a true digital connection to your HD equipment.
