Next-generation inorganic LCD panel for full high-definition projection

Traditionally, most LCD panels found in projectors have been manufactured with organic compounds that, with enough usage, will begin to break down over time, resulting in loss of picture quality and contrast. The LCD panel found in the HC6500 is comprised of inorganic compounds, so even after long hours of use, high picture quality is maintained with high contrast. This 1920 x 1080 dot full-HD resolution LCD panel can reproduce images of true high-definition quality with rich blacks and vivid colours.

Full high definition lens system with Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass lenses

To achieve superior 1080P image reproduction, the HC6500 is equipped with a lens system comprised of 17 elements in 14 groups, including three ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses, which are more costly and deliver higher performance than conventional glass lenses. This lens system dramatically improves chromatic aberration and peripheral focus, giving you sharper images right to the edge of the screen.

New optical engine greatly increases installation flexibility

To allow impressive big-screen images to be enjoyed even in a small room, the HC6500 is equipped with a 1.6x power zoom and focus. The projection distance for a 100-inch (16:9) picture is just 3.1 meters. In addition, there is also a power lens shift for moving the lens vertically and horizontally, greatly increasing installation flexibility.

Silicon Optix Reon-VX next-generation video processor

The HC6500 is equipped with the latest Reon-VX chip produced by the US company Silicon Optix, a chip widely used on high-end AV equipment and which has earned an outstanding reputation among industry professionals. Renowned for its HQVTM (Hollywood Quality Video) technology, the Reon-VX provides high-precision I/P conversion for sharper images from any video source, a high performance video scaler for superior resolution conversion, and optimisied chromatic up-sampling for more faithful reproduction of high definition colour images.

One of the industry's quietest projectors, just 17dBA

Thanks to a redesigned cooling system and the projector chassis's effective sound dampening design, fan operating noise is barely perceptible at an amazingly low 17dBA (low mode).

Our newly developed Auto Iris for contrast ratios up to 15,000:1

The HC6500 features a swift auto-iris control algorithm, which offers high speed transitions between light and dark images, for faithful reproduction of scene sequences in your favourite films or shows. Combined with the HC6500's original contrast control, the auto-iris delivers contrasts up to 15,000:1, always ensuring you get the richest blacks, the brightest whites, and the most vivid colours in between.

Equipped with 5000-hour* long-life lamp

The optimum design for temperature control of the light source lamp, as well as Mitsubishi Electric's unique lighting timing, provide a lamp life of up to 5000 hours, giving you months of big screen home theatre enjoyment.

Dust protection for the LCD panel

To prevent dust from adhering to the LCD panel, the LCD block is equipped with a dust protection cover.

Side Loading Lamp

Users can replace the lamp with out taking down the projector if ceiling mounted. This design simplifies lamp replacements without turning the projector around or over when mounted on the ceiling or resting on a shelf. This design helps to reduce overall cost of ownership and maintenance.
