Imaging and Brightness
The EMP-70 delivers 700 ANSI lumens of brightness using 0.7″ 3LCD panels, providing sharp and vibrant visuals suitable for small venues and portable use. Its native XGA resolution (1024×768) and 400:1 contrast ratio ensure clear image reproduction, while 88% brightness uniformity maintains consistent illumination across the screen.
Lens and Projection Flexibility
Equipped with a manual focus lens and digital zoom (1.0–1.2×), the projector supports screen sizes from 28″ to 300″ at throw distances between 1.0 and 11.0 meters, with a throw ratio of approximately 1.51–1.81:1. This allows flexible placement in classrooms, offices, or home setups, and supports front, rear, and ceiling projection modes.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The EMP-70 includes VGA, S-Video, Composite RCA, USB Type B (control), RS-232 serial, and 3.5 mm stereo audio ports. It supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and HDTV formats up to 1080i, and features EPSON SizeWise™ resizing and Telewide image scaling for intelligent input handling across multiple resolutions.
Audio and Control Features
A built-in 1W mono speaker provides basic onboard audio, while the projector supports digital keystone correction and E-Zoom via remote control. The included remote also offers Wide/Tele functions, AV mute, freeze, and menu navigation, with support for ELP Link II cordless mouse control through PS/2 and serial ports.
Maintenance and Accessories
The projector uses a 150 W UHE lamp (ELPLP15 / V13H010L15) rated for 1,500 hours, and ships with a soft carry case, lens cover, VGA and PS/2 mouse cables, and remote control part number 1231017. Notably, it does not include a removable air filter, relying instead on passive ventilation.
