The Epson EMP-500 is an ultra-portable SVGA projector introduced in 2000, delivering 800 ANSI lumens of brightness via a compact 0.9″ 3LCD panel at a native 800×600 resolution. It supports screen sizes from 25″ to 300″ at throw distances between 1.1 and 13.8 meters, powered by a 120 W UHE lamp rated for 2,000 hours. The unit includes manual zoom and focus, electronic keystone correction, and Digital Active Resizing (DAR) for VGA/XGA compatibility, all housed in a lightweight 2.6 kg chassis measuring 267 × 213 × 72 mm.
Out of the box, the EMP-500 ships with a genuine Epson infrared remote control featuring backlit buttons, pre-programmed presentation effects, and full on-screen menu navigation for keystone, zoom, AV mute, freeze, and picture-in-picture functions. It also includes the Cinema Filter (part number ELPCF50) for enhanced contrast in dark environments, a soft carry case, and a full cable set for VGA, S-Video, Composite RCA, and USB mouse control
