The Epson EB-G6470WU is a high-performance WUXGA (1920×1200) projector designed for large venues such as conference halls, auditoriums, and houses of worship. It delivers 4,500 lumens of color and white brightness, ensuring vivid, well-balanced images even in ambient light.

Powered by Epson’s 3LCD technology, it offers up to 3× brighter colors than comparable 1-chip DLP models, with a wide color gamut and true-to-life reproduction. The projector supports Full HD content, features a contrast ratio of 5,000:1, and includes horizontal and vertical lens shift for flexible installation. Its standard lens offers a 1.8× zoom ratio, and users can swap in any of five optional lenses for specialized throw distances.

Connectivity is another standout: the EB-G6470WU supports HDBaseT, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and 5-BNC, making it compatible with a wide range of AV setups. It integrates seamlessly with control systems like Crestron®, AMX®, Extron® XTP®, and Control4®, and supports 360-degree installation, Edge Blending, and Split Screen projection.

Remote management is built-in, allowing for monitoring, scheduling, and control over networks. With a 380W UHE lamp rated for up to 4,000 hours in Eco mode, and a long-life ELPAF43 air filter, it’s engineered for reliability and minimal maintenance.

3LCD Technology

The EB-G6470WU uses advanced 3-chip 3LCD architecture that processes red, green, and blue simultaneously for full-time colour. This results in consistently vibrant and realistic image reproduction, free from the colour break-up common in sequential single-chip systems.

3x Brighter Colours with LCD

Epson’s 3LCD projectors deliver 3× higher colour brightness than comparable projectors. Balanced white and colour light output ensures sharp, vivid projections without the dullness that occurs when colour brightness is underreported.

Faroudja DCDi® Cinema

With the inclusion of Faroudja DCDi Cinema video processing, the EB-G6470WU minimizes jagged edges and produces smooth, artefact-free visuals. This Emmy-winning technology enhances quality through intelligent deinterlacing and image refinement.

C2Fine Technology

Featuring C2Fine phase-compensation, the projector achieves deep black levels and smooth tonal gradients. Combined with an auto iris, it reaches a contrast ratio up to 5,000:1, optimizing shadow detail and image depth.

HDBaseT & Connectivity

Supports HDBaseT, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, BNC, and LAN inputs. A single CAT-5/6 cable can transmit Full HD video, audio, and control signals up to 100 metres, reducing cable clutter in large venues. Epson’s optional HDBaseT transmitter offers HDMI, LAN, and RS-232 inputs for easy system integration.

Edge Blending & Stacked Projection

Advanced edge-blending enables multi-screen, panoramic setups with seamless colour and brightness transitions. For 3D applications, Epson’s stacked 3D projection can double brightness using polarized filters and compatible glasses.

Split Screen & DICOM Simulation

The Split Screen feature displays content from two input sources simultaneously with flexible layouts. A dedicated DICOM Simulation Mode supports viewing grayscale medical images like X-rays for training purposes.

Flexible Installation

Capable of 360° positioning, the EB-G6470WU suits floor, ceiling, and rear-projection setups. Lens shift allows ±67° vertical and ±30° horizontal adjustment, and a centered lens design simplifies alignment.

Short-Throw & Optional Lenses

With a 0.7 throw ratio, 1.2× zoom, and significant lens shift, short-throw installation is straightforward. The G-series supports six optional lenses — standard, wide, rear, two middle, and long throw — via a quick-release mechanism (NL models ship without lens).

System Monitoring & Scheduling

Epson’s EasyMP® Monitor software enables centralized control of multiple networked projectors, including power management and setting notifications. An embedded schedule function automates operational tasks without requiring active network standby.

Filter & Maintenance Access

A long-life electrostatic filter protects internal components from micro dust, with a recommended 10,000-hour cleaning interval. Lamps and filters are easily accessed from the rear — no tools required, even for ceiling installations.

Arc Correction & Test Patterns

The EB-G6470WU features arc correction to fine-tune barrel or pincushion distortion, ensuring a precise image geometry. Nine built-in test patterns allow pre-presentation checks for linearity, colour accuracy, and resolution.
