Canon’s LCOS Projectors: Exceptional Color. Intricate Detail.
Canon’s REALiS SX6 projectors feature LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) technology, recently described by a leading trade magazine as “sort of a ‘best of breed’ combination of LCD and DLP technologies.” LCOS technology produces lattice-free seamless images, and unlike LCD has no “screen door effect” to mute color and detail. Seamless, high-resolution images
The XEED SX60 uses LCOS panels with virtually no gaps between pixels to faithfully project seamless images. With native SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050 pixels), it produces precise, sharp images.
Bright projection
2,500 lumens output ensures that your images are bright, even when projected from long throw distances or in daylight. Canon’s Advanced AISYS optical system optimises the projector’s light path, achieving powerful output from a compact, lightweight chassis.
Cinema at home
The dedicated Home Cinema mode optimises the projector settings for watching films in your living room. Contrast is boosted to 1500:1 for incredibly rich colours, to provide maximum viewing enjoyment. The double frame-rate drive of the XEED SX60 LCOS panels ensures smooth reproduction of moving images, without any annoying flicker.
Stunning contrast
When not in Home Cinema mode, the XEED sx60 still yields an impressively high 1500:1 contrast ratio – with AISYS overcoming the contrast limitations of traditional LCOS projectors. Colour tones are rich and vivid, blacks are deep and inky and incredible detail is provided throughout the entire image.
Whisper quiet
In Quiet Mode the SX-60 is virtually silent – a mere 27dBA. Fan noise is reduced to a whisper, so that presentations or films are not interrupted by an irritating background whir.
Optical advantage
With a motorised Canon 1.7x wide-angle zoom lens, large images can be projected from a short throwing distance, giving flexibility in projector placement. The lens is powered, so it can be operated from the remote control handset – you won’t even need to leave the couch!
Automatic and easy
The XEED SX60 can be set up with little effort. With Auto Focus, the projector detects its distance from the screen and focuses accordingly. Auto Screen Colour Correction adjusts settings for optimal viewing on different screen colours. Vertical Keystone Correction is automatic, preventing trapezium distortion of the image.
High definition and advanced connectivity
The SXGA+ resolution also ensures faithful reproduction of High Definition sources (720p/1080i). A connection via DVI (Digital Visual Interface) provides optimum image quality from digital sources, including HD images. The XEED SX60 supports the HDCP standard, for high quality playback of encrypted digital content.
