The DX550 supports a range of common video and computer inputs including VGA, S-Video, and composite connections, allowing it to integrate easily with PCs and legacy video sources. With a manual zoom lens, integrated speakers, and support for image sizes up to large-screen projection, it provides a practical solution for everyday presentation needs.
BenQ DX550 is a compact and portable projector designed for business presentations and mobile professionals, combining bright projection performance with intuitive operation and flexible installation options.
The DX550 uses Texas Instruments Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) technology alongside BenQ’s proprietary optical design to maximise light efficiency and deliver vivid RGB colour reproduction. With its lightweight B5-sized chassis, retractable carrying handle, multilingual interface, and automatic signal detection, it offers convenient portability and straightforward operation for presentations in a wide range of environments.
High-Efficiency Brightness
Utilising the Texas Instruments Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) and BenQ’s advanced optical design, the projector increases light usage efficiency through a geometric optical effect. This enhanced efficiency allows the system to reproduce the three primary colours (RGB) accurately using a single DMD chip, resulting in bright and vibrant projected images.
Portable Attache-Style Design
Features a sophisticated design resembling an attaché case with a retractable carrying handle. With its compact B5-sized footprint and lightweight 5-pound body, the projector is easy to transport, enabling powerful presentations wherever you go.
Keystone Correction
The projection position is designed to align naturally with the viewer’s line of sight to minimise keystone distortion. If projection above or below the line of vision introduces distortion, the built-in hotkey KEYSTONE correction function allows quick digital adjustment to restore a properly aligned image.
Multilanguage On-Screen Display
The On Screen Display (OSD) interface supports seven languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. This multilingual interface provides clear system information and intuitive menu navigation for users worldwide.
Auto Detect System
Automatically detects common PC display signal timings and optimises the projected image instantly. Users can also activate optimisation manually using a hotkey, eliminating the need for complicated configuration when connecting to computers.
Ceiling Mount and Rear Projection Support
A full mirror scan conversion function allows vertical and horizontal image reversal. This enables flexible installation options including ceiling-mounted projection and rear-screen projection applications.
Optional AV Box Compatibility
An optional AV box can be attached to the projector to expand video connectivity. One or two AV boxes can be connected, supporting multiple video input sources for enhanced multimedia flexibility.
Video Standard Compatibility
The optional AV box supports major global video standards including NTSC used in the United States and Canada, as well as PAL used across Western Europe, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of video equipment.
