Equipped with standard connectivity including VGA and composite video inputs, a manual zoom lens, and integrated speaker, the DS550 delivers straightforward, dependable projection performance for everyday meeting and instructional applications.
BenQ DS550 is a compact and portable projector designed for versatile presentations in classrooms, offices, and on-the-go scenarios. Its thoughtful design combines high brightness, simple setup, and flexible projection options to deliver clear, professional-quality images wherever you need them.
High Brightness
The DS550 provides superior brightness using TI’s Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) and a custom optical design. A geometric effect enhances light usage efficiency, allowing more accurate reproduction of the primary colors (RGB) required for high-quality image projection on a single DMD chip.
Portable Design
The projector has a sophisticated attaché-case-style shape with a retractable carrying handle, making it extremely compact and lightweight. Weighing just 5 pounds and sized to fit B5 dimensions, it is easy to transport and set up for presentations anywhere.
Keystone Correction
The projection is initially set to the line-of-sight height, eliminating keystone distortion. When projecting above or below this height, any minor image distortion can be corrected easily using the hotkey “KEYSTONE” function.
Multilanguage On-Screen Display (OSD)
Offers an OSD interface in seven languages—English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese—providing guidance and facilitating adjustments in your preferred language.
Auto Detect System
The projector can automatically detect frequently used PC display signals, or you can optimize the image using the “AUTO” hotkey. This feature eliminates the need for complex manual adjustments and ensures your image is displayed correctly from any connected device.
Ceiling Mount and Rear Projection
Equipped with full mirror scan conversion (vertical/horizontal mirror), supports ceiling-mounted and rear-projection setups, providing flexible installation options for a variety of environments.
Optional AV Box
An AV box can be added to expand the projector’s input options. The AV box is compatible with NTSC (U.S. and Canada standard) and PAL (Western Europe standard), supporting a wide range of video sources for presentations.
