The JVC DLA-SX21S is a short-throw variant of the SX21 series, tailored for rear-projection and multi-display environments where space is limited but image fidelity is critical. It retains the core imaging architecture of the SX21—three 0.7" D-ILA panels delivering SXGA+ resolution (1400 × 1050)—but introduces a fixed 1:1 short-focus lens with zero offset, making it ideal for custom installations like simulation suites, control rooms, and immersive training setups.

Feature-wise, it supports JVC’s full color profile system (sRGB, MacRGB, AdobeRGB, EBU), DVI-D digital input, and DIST Enhancer for refined scaling and clarity.

DLA-SX21S also includes horizontal and vertical digital keystone correction, GUI-based menu navigation, and compatibility with HDTV formats up to 1080p. The SX21S is often deployed in multi-projector arrays thanks to its precise convergence and compact form factor, and it shares the same BHL-5006-S lamp module and remote control architecture as the SX21.

Short Throw Lens

Air Filter Protected

uses a side-accessible air inlet filter designed to protect internal components from dust and maintain optimal airflow. This filter is located near the lamp housing and can be removed without dismounting the projector, making routine maintenance relatively straightforward. JVC recommends periodic cleaning or replacement depending on environmental conditions—especially in rear-projection setups where airflow may be restricted.

JVC color profile

JVC’s color profile technology has been developed to ensure that colours are reproduced with greater fidelity to the original. Important color reproduction elements such as “color temperature”, “gamma” and “RGB gamut” are optimized for each of four modes (sRGB, MacRGB, AdobeRGB, EBU). Simply choose the mode that matches your source for best results.
